On November 16 – 23, 2016 the International Symposium was held, which was attended by teachers and students of the Academy of Arts in Warsaw and NGO “Center for Cultural & Arts Initiatives” from Lviv.
The program of the symposium consisted of the following activities:
- the plein air of the graphic estate in the Dluzhev estate near Warsaw (now the plein air house of the Academy of Arts);
- a lecture-presentation of the delegation from Ukraine at the Warsaw Academy of Arts and a counter-presentation by the hosts of the symposium;
- master-class on decoration of Yavoriv folk toy of the Doctoral student of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Oleh Bolyuk – the academic director, the head of drawing and painting department, the managing museum of folk art of CCAI in Lviv.
The culmination of the symposium was the signing of a formal cooperation agreement between the Center for Cultural & Arts Initiatives in Lviv and the Academy of Arts in Warsaw. The signing of this document was held in the main building of the Academy of Arts in Warsaw on November 22, 2016.
During the symposium, participants performed a number of works of art, took part in artistic performances, listened to a lecture-presentation of the candidate of art history Oleh Bolyuk on the topic “Yavoriv painting” and participated in a master class on Yavoriv painting of wooden entertainment.
The official delegation from Ukraine was attended by five people and the host party was represented by eleven people.

The delegation from Ukraine arrived in Poland within the framework of the international project «The pearls of the neighbor’s treasure exposed to the world “, which already involved the theaters “Syrena”, “Polish Theatre in Warsaw”, “Theatre XL”, “Maskarada”, ” Teatr Powszechny
im. Zygmunta Hübnera”, ” Teatr Niewielki”, “Teatr Współczesny w Warszawie” as well as the National Museum of Ethnography, the “Old Theater in Krakow”, the Academy of Arts in Warsaw and Krakow, the “Centrum Promocji Kultury” in Warsaw.
The participants of the delegation expressed their gratitude for the hospitality and kindness to all these pearls – institutions of the cultural and artistic life of good neighbor Poland.
