Dear friends, esteemed colleagues, beloved connoisseurs of the beautiful!
On September 14, 2023, the exhibition of the annual International Art Project “Art Axis” will open, which has been positioning Ukraine since 2018 as a country open to civilized coexistence with the world. The project is implemented on the basis of a creative platform to strengthen cultural dialogue, which should serve as a means of cultural diplomacy, facilitating better understanding between nations, peoples, and states.
The motto of “Art Axis” in 2023 is “MY REALITY.” Works by artists from Bangladesh, Vietnam, Ecuador, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, India, Cameroon, Canada, Kenya, Costa Rica, Mexico, the Netherlands, Nigeria, South Africa, Pakistan, Poland, the USA, Serbia, Slovakia, Taiwan, Thailand, Uganda, Hungary, Ukraine, Uruguay, the Philippines, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, and Sri Lanka have become a reflection of this relevant and universal theme.
Residents and guests of the capital will be able to familiarize themselves with a part of the collection of the best works of “Art Axis” at the Art Gallery of the Yaroslav the Wise National Library, which has been a project partner since its first presentation in 2019. We value people of good will who remain in the project’s family circle throughout its implementation.
The project organizer – the Center for Cultural & Arts Initiatives in Lviv, and the project coordinator – the Lviv Regional Charitable Foundation “TORBA” express sincere gratitude to all benefactors, patrons, and partners who, despite the difficult wartime period for Ukraine, help to present our country honorably, defending high European values and actively promoting their creative achievements in practice.
