The release of the new custom stamp “PROSTO NEBYLYTSI 2024” reaffirms the enduring artistic and philatelic partnership between the project and the national postal operator, Ukrposhta. This year’s presentation introduced a new format. This digital broadcast allowed viewers not only from across Ukraine but also from around the world to take part in the event.
The “PROSTO NEBYLYTSI 2024” stamp marks the ninth issue in a series that celebrates creativity, social openness, and the dignity of young Ukrainian art. As in previous years, the stamp design features one of the artworks submitted to the project and selected by the International Qualification Board. This year’s choice blends elements of folk symbolism with a modern artistic vision.

The festive launch occurred in an atmospheric digital space designed to evoke an artist’s studio, a symbolic place where ideas are born. Alongside participants and their families, the event brought together independent artists, experts, collectors, and representatives of cultural institutions. The reflections shared by guests added special meaning to the celebration.
The stamp’s distribution map expanded this year as well: copies were officially sent to members of the artistic community in Albania, Italy, South Korea, Belgium, Sweden, and Canada. A distinctive feature of the 2024 release was the initiative to print the stamps on kraft paper partially, a symbolic gesture toward sustainability, simplicity, and environmental respect. Organizers hope to implement this initiative fully shortly.
The organizing committee emphasized that continuing the partnership with Ukrposhta is a technical achievement and a sign of mutual trust, reliability, and strategic vision. The annual appearance of the custom stamp has become a much-anticipated event for admirers of contemporary Ukrainian art.
“We don’t see this stamp as merely a philatelic artifact but as an artistic document of the era, capturing the spirit of our time. It reminds us and the world that Ukraine lives, creates, and speaks in its voice—through color, ideas, and symbols,” noted Dr. Oleh Bolyuk, art historian and coordinator of this year’s stamp release.
The PROSTO NEBYLYTSI project continues to nurture a tradition of supporting young artists, especially those facing challenging life circumstances. Through the Custom Stamp, their voices reach beyond exhibition spaces and enter the realm of philately, where images often speak louder than words.
