On November 2, 2018, within the framework of the All-Ukrainian Project “PROSTO NEBYLYTSI” 2018, the activists of NGO “Center for Cultural and Art Initiatives” with the participation of the SPIOGRAF Art Institute, located in Lviv (Andriy Sendetskyy, Oleh Bolyuk, Vira Galaiko, Serhiy Havrylovych) Lviv Regional Charitable Foundation “TORBA” visited the Orphanage Children’s Educational Institution No. 15 in the city of Stryi in Lviv region. Children from disadvantaged families live in a small area sharing the space with a kindergarten.
Lviv took us on a journey through cloudy, grey-depressing weather but Stryi met with golden autumn that bathed in the sun. Probably that is why, having crossed the threshold of “Orphanage”, it seemed to us that the inhabitants of this cell were so bright and interested joyfully. This, of course, created a good atmosphere of familiarity which gradually turned into a process of reproducing the fictions of the inhabitants of this house on paper.
Undoubtedly, the work of a good artistic material once again gave its remarkable results. This is once again the unwavering desire to thank the benefactors who have helped us to implement this project for the eighth consecutive year. We are grateful especially to those who are not forced to call for help, and who, on their initiative, respond to contribute annually to the organization and implementation of programs and projects aimed at the people who need our attention. As experience has shown, together we can transform a filibuster into literalness, which practically, and not in words, brings the light of good deeds to other people’s lives.
Having conducted a few-hour master-class on the practice of creating “filibuster” by means of artistic expression in painting, the volunteers enriched themselves with the wonderful impressions of meeting with the residents of the center. Leaving the children with art supplies, sweets and winter clothes, they returned to gray Lviv with the colorful works that the children created for this year’s project. Immediately, without pauses and delays, the project coordinators undertook to design the young project debutants from Stryi to the exhibition.
On behalf of the Project Organizer and Coordinator, we would like to express our gratitude to Mr Roman Luchuk and Mr Oleksiy Syshchuk for their debut in this year’s Project in the Bunch of Benefactors! Thanks to these benefits, a gift basket for the residents of the orphanage in the town of Stryi was multiplied.
